Technology has made our life easier and it has impacted individuals and communities of all kinds, even religious. The following are ways religion has taken advantage of technology to be more accessible for its followers.

FamilySearch.org is the largest genealogical organization in the world. Millions of people use FamilySearch records, resources, and services every year to find out more about their family history. FamilySearch offers service to everyone at no cost, 24 hours a day. Their database includes more than 4 billion names from all over the world and has 4,745 FamilySearch centers worldwide.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the main benefactor of FamilySearch services, The Church believes that families should be the central part of society and that family relationships are destined to continue beyond of this life.

Another example of use of the technology in the religion is The Book of Mormon the scripture the Latter-Day Saints use along with the Bible learn more about God’s guidance as revealed to prophets, Church history, as well as religious histories of different civilizations.
