If the vivo V23 were compared to another smartphone or brand, it will surely have 2-3 features unique to its own versus most smartphones offered in the Philippines
First, particularly in the Philippines, the Dual Spotlight LED is a great addition for the Vivo V23 as its main differentiator versus any other brands. While you may need an external accessory light for selfies on other brands, vivo cleverly fitted the V23 for content creators/vloggers with this feature without sacrificing screen size.
Second, would be the unique proposition of having a dual-camera placement on the front that’s even 50MP, typically its just around 32MP for this price range. So the upgraded optics sensor is very welcome, along with the flexibility of the V23 5G with a front ultra-wide camera.
While the 3rd feature will be the unique Color Changing Sunshine Gold color that shifts to a blue-green hue when exposed to UV light. It may be a nitch feature for some, but this increases the sense of personalization and ownership of one to their device. Giving more individuality and personality for any users of the vivo V23 5G.
Aside from the usual main endorser of vivo, Maine Mendoza (See what I did there?), GMA7’s lead celebrity Alden Richards also joined the vivo family for the V23 series. With the two being top icons during the pandemic, raising their game in their own content and with their projects. Its most fitting decision that vivo was able to bring some nostalgic feel among the two back after years of anxiety in the market.
Overall, it’s great that vivo is slowly making a name among photography / video-centric consumers that aims more on individuality. Something that most “Flagship killers” can’t provide as they mostly focus on performance.
Recently vivo announced that the V23 Series is higher by 88% compared to the 1st month of its predecessor. It might be a factor of lockdowns, economic status before but one thing is for sure is that vivo learned from their strengths and focused to give what consumers need and not just give new features that are “wanted”, especially fitting for a new-normal world that being on a camera is now regular than ever.

Still priced in the Philippines for Php 27,999, the vivo V23 5G will still have a unique market tapped and these are the video savvy / aspiring vloggers who need a smartphone that can assist in their content creation.
Hopefully, vivo can continue this trend of separating themselves from the rest with their own branding and unique proposition. Especially since more smartphone brands are now in the Philippines competing for people’s hard-earned money.
