In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 (KCD2), players start the game as a weakened Henry. With that said, you need to level up fast in KCD2 after the ambush as Henry has lost all his battle prowess and skills. Participate In An Shooting Contest West Of Tachov

The Archery Range West of Tachov allows you to join a crossbow or longbow competition. As you do fire arrows or bolts at a target, you do get to level up some of your stats. Joining the shooting competition requires money but if you do win the first place, you do get triple what you wagered. Another thing that you need is either a crossbow or a long bow. You can acquire the weapons from fallen enemies that you encounter or by buying it from the shop in Troskowitz.

Wager & Prize Money

The shooting contest have the same categories for both the crossbow and the long bow. Below are the wagers and the monetary rewards should you win them:

1. Beginners – requires 5 groschen; rewards 15 groschen
2. Experienced Archers – requires 15 groschen; rewards 45 groschen
3. Masters – requires 45 groschen; rewards 135 groschen

I can recommend that you take the beginners first until you have enough skill level on your marksmanship to tackle the Masters level. Masters can be a bit tough for longbows though so I can personally recommend that you take crossbow when possible as it is easier to level up and earn money at the same time.

Get The Gallant Huntsman Kit For A Crossbow

The Gallant Hunstman Kit DLC grants you a huge advantage over the base game solely because it gifts you with a crossbow. Although not immediately, you do get the crossbow once you get access to a personal chest upon doing tasks for either the blacksmith or the miller. The crossbow, “Artemis’ crossbow”, is a pretty decent weapon and packs quite a punch specially in the first few missions. Use this weapon to immediately enter the archery contest.

Level Up Skills In KCD2

To level up in KCD2, you have to level up certain skills. The more you use those skills, the more you get experience and at a certain point, you get to level them up. Leveling up skills allow you access to passive perks that grant Henry advantages both in and out of combat. Joining the competitive shooting contest early on in the game allows you to level up the following stats opening you to a number of benefits:

1. Marksmanship – unlocks perks for bows and crossbows
2. Strength – mostly for carrying capacity but some perks offer combat advantages
3. Warfare – perks for combat
