Age of Empires 4 is the latest incarnation of the beloved Age of Empires series spanning more than 2 decades. Made by Relic Entertainment, game developers known for their Company of Heroes and Dawn of War games, it is easy to assume that they might inject a bit of their style into the beloved franchise. In the aforementioned games, you can rotate your buildings. Can you do the same here in Age of Empires 4?
Unfortunately, no. You cannot rotate buildings in Age of Empires 4. Though there is still a glimmer of hope in future updates, as previous games featured building rotation of some sort. However, the addition of the building rotation feature is unconfirmed and there is no official news of its inclusion.
On the other hand, a work around to this is to rotate your camera by holding the ALT key while moving the mouse. Although not the same, it does rotate your building. Just not the “rotation” that you’re looking for. If you find the view clunky, you can reset your camera by pressing Backspace.
Age of Empires 4 is a real-time strategy game that features historical empires as you, the player, control them to reach their greatness. The series has been incredibly popular with its single player campaigns, robust multiplayer support, and virtually high replayability.
You can buy Age of Empires 4 on Steam or directly from Microsoft. You can also play it with the Xbox Game Pass.
