Huawei has officially announced that EMUI 9.1 will start rolling out to select smartphones starting on June 27, 2019. This new revision of EMUI comes with a ton of new features to enhance the smartphone’s user experience.

Aside from these changes, Huawei is also promising faster launch times for popular applications. In addition, a new EROFS (Extendable Read-only File System) file system has been implemented to provide 20% faster read speed compared to the previous EXT4 file system.
To get the update, users would need to check the HiCare app to see their device’s eligibility. Initially, Mate 20 series users can start to apply for the upgrade. More models are scheduled to be added from June onwards.
