Huawei lists smartphones to get EMUI 10.1

Unveiled alongside the Huawei P40 series, EMUI 10.1 is the latest update to Huawei’s long-running OS. Aside from the usual security updates, the most recent revision of EMUI will be adding more features to existing smartphones.

Before we get into the list of smartphones that are getting the EMUI 10.1 update, let’s quickly run through the significant features that this new update will entail:

• MeeTime – MeeTime instantly connects you with your friends and family with high-quality video calls. Conversations done via MeeTime will have the added benefit of sharing your smartphone screen to one another.
• Multi-screen Collaboration – You now more seamless integrate a Huawei smartphone with a PC. One-touch can allow you to open a web address or edit files by using applications from your PC. This will also let you to answer calls from your PC.
• Gallery – EMUI 10.1 will permit you to find and share photos on multiple devices so long as they are connected to the same WiFi network in your home.
• Hey Celia – Celia is Huawei’s own voice assistant. It does everything that you expect from a smartphone assistant such as searching for weather, making phone calls, as well as setting reminders. The assistant responds to the phrase “Hey, Celia” and currently understand languages such as English, Spanish, and French.

Here’s a list of smartphones that will support EMUI 10.1. This is a growing list as Huawei is still currently testing other smartphones to see if they are compatible with the latest iteration of EMUI.

No word yet as to when the EMUI 10.1 will roll out to Huawei devices. It seems that beta testing for the Huawei P30 series has started and will last until mid-April 2020.
