The newest iteration of Huawei’s Mate series has finally arrived in the Philippines. The new Huawei Mate 10 builds on the Mate 9’s legacy while improving the internals. The Mate 10 carries the same 5.9-inch screen of the Mate 9 although the resolutions has been upped to 2560 x 1440.

The Mate 10’s is now dual Leica cameras with an aperture of f/1.6 with OIS, PDAF, and Laser AF. Much like other smartphones in Huawei’s high-end offerings, the Mate 10 comes with an RGB and monochrome setup (12MP + 20MP, respectively) while the front-facing camera is handled by an 8MP sensor.

Processing power has also been improved with the Mate 10 with the company’s Kirin 970 together with 4GB of RAM, which focuses on AI with its Neural Processing Unit (NPU). Of course, raw processing power is still present with the SoC with an octa-core setup pared with a 12-core GPU that promises to deliver 25x more performance with 50x efficiency when compared to a quad-core Cortex A73 CPU.

Storage is handled by 64GB of internal memory that can be expanded via a microSD slot. Meanwhile, its juice comes from a 4,000mAh battery paired with TÜV Safety Certified Huawei SuperCharge that allows the Mate 10 to get a day’s usage from just 20 minutes of usage. The handset comes with Android 8.0 Oreo with Huawei’s latest iteration of EMUI 8.0. Here are the Huawei Mate 10’s full specifications:
