Huawei has recently released a teaser for another upcoming variant of the Mate 20 series, the Huawei Mate 20X, via Twitter. According to the tweet, the Mate 20X will have a brand new cooling system for a longer and better gaming experience.
There’s no specifics yet as to how the Huawei Mate 20X will keep its SoC, presumably a Kirin 980, cool for extended periods of time. We can imagine, however, that the brand will be using a Vapor Chamber to keep its innards cool.
The Huawei Mate 20X alongside the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro is expected to have a release date of October 16, 2018. Until then, we only know very little about the Mate 20X.
Huawei is not the only one who will be releasing a flagship-class smartphone with a focus on gaming this year. Back in Computex 2018, ASUS Republic of Gamers has also announced the ROG Phone that uses a Vapor Chamber cooling system that keeps its specially binned Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 cool.
