Huawei Mate 30 series officially launches in PH

Although there has been some teething issues with Google Play Services, the Huawei Mate 30 and the Huawei Mate 30 Pro has been officially releases in the Philippines.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro headlines the latest flagship series from the brand. It packs a near-borderless 6.53-inch OLED display rated for HDR10 and DCI-P3. It also doesn’t hurt that the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6.

Inside the Huawei Mate 30 Pro is the Kirin 990 chip. The latest chip from Huawei, the Kirin 990 packs 8 cores (4 low power, 2 high power, 2 supersized). Aside from sheer performance gain, its NPU now comes with three cores: 2 cores for applications who need performance, and a single low power core for everyday applications.

Of course, the real highlight of the Huawei Mate 30 is its cameras. The device comes with what Huawei calls a SuperSensing Cine Camera. The circular camera hub of the Mate 30 Pro has four lenses: a 40MP Ultrawide; a 40MP SuperSensing Wide; an 8MP telephoto lens; and a 3D Depth Sensor.

These new cameras will now allow the Huawei Mate 30 Pro to achieve a 45x zooming range, a max ISO of 409,600 km, better bokeh effects, as well as Dual OIS + EIS video stabilization.

Huawei Mate 30

While not as impressive as its sibling, the Huawei Mate 30 is no slouch. It comes with a 6.62-inch OLED display rated HDR10 and DCI-P3 and has Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.

Inside its chassis is the same Kirin 990 as its bigger brother. Of course, it comes with the same improvements such as 8-cores, better performance, and the improved NPU.

Although it has the same circular design at the back, the lens composition of the Huawei Mate 30 has changed quite a bit. It now has a 40MP f/1.8 main camera, a 16MP ultrawide, and an 8MP zoom lens.

Both smartphones are now available for pre-order until November 8, 2019. Those who will pre-order will get a free Huawei wireless charger.

The Huawei Mate 30 is available for PhP 34,990 while the more powerful Huawei Mate 30 Pro has an asking price of PhP 50,990.
