Huawei has officially unveiled the Mate 50 series at IFA. They are properly returning to the flagship space with the Mate 50 and Mate 50 Pro packing a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipsets. Although they don’t have the Leica branding anymore, the brand is equipping the range with XMAGE cameras with their main cameras having a variable aperture of f/1.4 to f/4.0.
The Huawei Mate 50e is the odd one out of the family as it is being positioned as a more “budget-friendly” alternative. It will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 chipset while still having a 6.78-inch OLED screen. It does omit the 50W Fast Wireless Charging sticking instead to 66W wired charging.
On the other hand, the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 50 RS was also unveiled at the Mate 50 launch at IFA. It has most of the specifications of the Huawei Mate 50 while sporting a new design specifically made by Porsche Design.
