Huawei Philippines is expected to release their latest flagship the Mate 9, but Huawei seems opted to quietly release it instead. Along with it is their mid-range hero the GR5 2017, interestingly both smartphones are dual-camera enabled but the Huawei Mate 9 is using the 2nd generation dual-camera setup co-engineered with Leica.
Intogadets, a local smartphone store chain in the Philippines just posted the Huawei GR5 2017 and Huawei Mate 9 in actual units and announcing its availability in all of their stores.

Both phones are an update for their mid-range and flagship phablet, we are looking forward to the Mate 9 as it’s impressive build and 5.9 inch screen with 2nd gen dual camera with Leica will be interesting to see.
But if you are looking forward to the big-brother the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, seems you will have to wait a bit more as it’s nowhere to be found. Estimated prices for the Mate 9 Pro is around Php45,000 so perhaps Huawei is still hesitant to release it here in the Philippines.
