Huawei is entering the pre-built desktop market in the Philippines with the new Mate Station S. They are also introducing their first monitor in the Philippines, the creatively named Huawei Display 23.8.
The Huawei Mate Station S is a small form-factor desktop PC for the home. It packs an OEM-only AMD Ryzen 5 4600G with RX Vega 7 graphics. Its APU is complemented by 8GB RAM and a 256GB M.2 SSD.
RAM is expandable and supports SO-DIMM sticks, while storage can also be upgraded thanks to its two M.2 NVMe slots. Those who would like to get a better graphical experience may also add a discrete graphics card but do take not that the Mate Station S only has a 300W PSU and a slim chassis.
The desktop have its own ultra-slim wired keyboard. Though its looks do not separate it from the usual slim keyboards in the market, it does have a built-in fingerprint sensor in order to provide a more seamless log-in experience on the PC.
Like any desktops in the market, the Mate Station S will be getting its own range of accessories. Aside from the aforementioned ultra-slim keyboard with fingerprint log-in support, Huawei is also introducing a wired mouse and more importantly, the Huawei Display 23.8.
The Huawei Mate Display 23.8, as the name suggest, is a 23.8-inch screen with an IPS panel and a standard 16:9 aspect ratio and 1920 x 1080 resolution. It can produce up to 200nits of brightness and has 72% NTSC color gamut.
The Huawei Mate Station S with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will be available for PhP 30,990. Its accessories will be priced as follows:
To make things sweeter, Huawei is bundling the desktop with a free keyboard, mouse, and Huawei AX3 router (worth PhP 3,999) if you pre-order it until March 25, 2021 with an initial deposit of PhP 1,000. The Huawei Display 23.8 is also up for pre-order and comes with a free Gift Package worth PhP 2,999.
Those who will pre-order in retail stores nationwide may also enjoy the same bundled items for the Mate Station S but at a lower price of PhP 3,000 off the total sale price.
