The Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2-inch and Huawei FreeClip have officially launched in the Philippines. Both devices are designed for the enthusiast crowd that demands better performance out of their devices while still having a discerning aesthetic.
Introduced globally last December, the Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2-inch is one of the first devices from Huawei to come with the new Kirin 9000S chipset for better performance compared to chipsets used by previous MatePads. The battery is slightly larger than before at 10,100mAh and supports 88W Huawei SuperCharge.
Aside from its display, one of the key aspects of the MatePad Pro 13.2-inch is its 2880 x 1920 OLED display running at 144Hz. Making the entertainment experience better are six speakers on the chassis while calls are improved with its four microphones.
While it doesn’t support 5G, it does come with WiFi 6 connectivity for faster upload and download speeds. Cameras include a 13MP f/1.8 main camera and an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide at the back while at the front is a 16MP f/2.2
Up next is the Huawei FreeClip. It is one of their first attempts at an open-ear TWS with a design that deviates from the norm. It’s made with what they call a “C-Bridge” design with a Ni-Ti shape memory allow. This design contains 9 core wires and a memory steel wire all within a tight housing that only weighs 5.6g that is IP54 water and dust resistant.
Audio is pumped out from a 10.8mm Dual Magnet High-Sensitivity Driver that promises a nuanced music experience. Battery life is expected to last for up to 8 hours or 5 hours of talk time on a single charge. The charging case boosts longevity by up to 36 hours.
Pricing and availability for both the Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2-inch and the Huawei FreeClip are yet to be announced. The brand says that they will arrive in the Philippines on February 2, 2024.
