The Huwaei MatePad T 8 Kids Edition and Watch Kids have officially arrived in the Philippines to help with the changing learning environment in the Philippines. As their name suggests, both devices are catered for children and have additional software support to provide a better learning experience.
The MatePad T 8 Kids Edition shares the same specifications as the vanilla T 8 but it comes with an anti-shock case made in edible silicone to make it additionally safe for children. The case also comes with a support stand and a stylus.
The device has Kids Corner pre-installed, which allows children to explore, play, learn, and draw as they wish on various apps. Parents have full control over the tablet including Time, Application, and Content Management, as well as a charging lock to keep kids from using the device while it is being charged.
Parents or adults meaning to use it as a regular tablet once the kids are done using it may do so by switching from Kids Mode to Regular Mode.

The Huawei MatePad T 8 Kids Edition is priced at PhP 8,990 and will be available starting September 24, 2021. It will come bundled with a cover, pen, wireless charging lamp, a baby Panda toy, 3 months membership in Baby Panda, and 12 months VIP in Azoomee.
You can get the tablet online via the Huawei Online Store and their Lazada and Shopee flagship stores. It can also be had through Huawei retail stores and authorized resellers nationwide.
The Huawei Watch Kids has also been quickly unveiled at the launch. The device helps keep parents in touch with their children when they are away. The watch supports MeeTime and calls thanks to its 5MP front-facing camera. It also has a 1.41-inch AMOLED screen and an 800mAh battery.
