The Huawei nova 13 and 13 Pro are launching the Philippines alongside the Mate X6 after going global last week. According to their official Facebook page, the nova 13 series will debut in the country this January 2025.
The base nova 13 comes with a 6.7-inch 2412 x 1084 120Hz OLED display while the nova 13 Pro has a slightly larger 6.78-inch 2776 x 1224 120Hz LTPO OLED display. On their displays are 60MP ultrawide selfie cameras complemented by AI Best Expression that scans and picks the best expression for each of the subjects in the photo. The Pro has an additional 8MP telephoto at the front for selfie portraits.
The nova 13 Pro packs a 50MP f/1.4 – f/4.0 variable aperture main camera – a feature usually reserved for higher-end smartphones. It’s complemented by a 12MP telephoto and an 8MP ultrawide shooter.
On the other hand, the nova 13 has a fixed aperture 50MP f/1.9 at the back with the same 8MP ultrawide secondary.
Both devices come with a 5,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging. The Pro gets ahead in terms of its chassis thanks to its IP65 dust and water resistance.
Official pricing and availability for the Huawei nova 13 and 13 Pro are yet to be announced. For reference, they launched with an international price tag of EUR 549 for the nova 13 and EUR 699 for the nova 13 Pro or around PhP 34,000 and PhP 43,000, respectively, when directly converted.
