Huawei has launched the 2023 refresh of their notebooks. This time around the brand is introducing three models: the MateBook D 14, MateBook D 14 BE, and MateBook 16S. The former two are budget-oriented devices meant for students and office workers that need a lightweight but performing laptop while the MateBook 16S has much more oomph with its 13th Generation Intel Core processor and higher resolution 16.0-inch 3:2 display.
Let’s start with the MateBook 16S. It comes with a 16.0-inch 3:2 2520 x 1680 display that supports 100% sRGB. It is the most powerful notebook in the range packing an Intel EVO certified 13th Generation Core i9-13900H with 14 cores and 20 threads.
Those who need more performance can activate Performance Mode by hitting Fn + P. This boosts the processor’s TDP to 60W to get more power so you can run demanding apps without any hiccups.
Both the MateBook D 14 and D 14 BE sporting the 12th Generation Intel Core platform. The two are lightweight starting at only 1.39kg while still packing 14.0-inch FullHD displays with 180° hinges. They also come with Huawei Metaline Antenna to boost WiFi range to up to 270m.
