Two new affordable smartphones has been unveiled by Huawei overseas. Positioned below the PhP 10,000 price point, the Huawei Y6P and Huawei Y5P ships with Huawei’s HMS ecosystem.
The larger of the two, the Huawei Y6P ships with a 6.3-inch IPS HD+ screen with an 8MP front-facing camera on its notch. Moving round the back is a triple camera arrangement with a 13MP main camera, a 5MP ultrawide, and a 2MP depth sensor.
The Huawei Y6P is powered by a Helio P22 chip from MediaTek with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage running Android 10 with EMUI 10.1. The smartphone gets its juice from a 5,000mAh battery.
The smartphone will be available in Black, Green, and Purple variants with a starting price of RON 799 (USD 180, PhP 9,000).
The Huawei Y5P is a bit of a blast from the past when it comes to its front design. Instead of a notched display, the brand has opted to use a 5.45-inch 18:9 HD+ display with bezels. At the top is a 5MP front-facing shooter.
The device has a square camera bump at the back, which houses an 8MP camera with an LED flash. Inside the chassis is a Helio P22 chip with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage as well as a 3,020mAh battery. Like the Y6P, it runs on Android 10 with EMUI 10.1.
The Huawei Y6P comes in Black, Blue, and Mint models for RON 599 (USD 135, PhP 6,800).
