A listing for a gaming smartwatch has been revealed in the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) by Huawei. Initially filed in December 2017, the patent includes a virtual keyboard integrated in the strap.

Most of the controls in Huawei’s patent are linked with the strap. Aside from the aforementioned keyboard, gestures can control features usually used by a smartphones gyroscope, like steering, are now done via the strap. The device can also be oriented vertically or horizontally depending on the type of game the user is currently dealing with.

Aside from its gaming aspects, Huawei’s patent also specifies functionalities such as selfies, zoom-in, and zoom-out as well as text selection in the smartwatch.
