Huawei is bringing the flagship Pura 80 series into the Philippines only a few weeks after their launch in APAC. They are initially debuting the Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Ultra with the base Pura 80 coming later on.
The Pura 80 Pro packs a 6.8-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED display with Kunlun Glass 2 and an IP68/69-rated chassis. Inside its chassis is a 5,700mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging along with an octa-core chipset.
Cameras include a 50MP f/1.6 – f/4.0 main camera with a 1-inch sensor, a 12MP f/3.4 periscope telephoto with 4x zoom and macro, a 40MP f/2.2 ultrawide, and a 13MP f/2.0 selfie camera.
On the other hand, the Pura 80 Ultra packs largely they same hardware as the Pro variant, but ups the capabilities of the camera department. Its 50MP f/1.6 – f/4.0 variable aperture main shooter now sports 1-inch RYYB sensor and it now has two telephoto cameras: a 50MP f/2.4 lens with 3.7x zoom and a 12MP f/3.6 secondary telephoto that can reach 9.4x optical zoom.
The Pura 80 Ultra’s dual telephoto setup allows for its cameras to have seamless transitions between 83mm and 212mm focal lengths while preserving consistent color and detail.
The Huawei Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Ultra are priced at PhP 59,999 and PhP 89,999 in the Philippines, respectively. Both are now up for pre-order until August 21 with the Ultra being bundled with a Watch GT 5 46mm, FreeClip TWS earbuds, PhP 2,000 early bird voucher, and 1-year Huawei Care+ warranty. On the other hand, the Pura 80 Pro comes with a Watch GT 5 46mm, PhP 2,000 early bird voucher, and 1-year Huawei Care+ warranty.
Huawei is also planning to bring the base Huawei Pura 80 and the 2025 Huawei MatePad 11.5-inch to the Philippines in the future. More details soon.
