The Huawei Pura70 Ultra has claimed the number 1 spot in DXOMARK Camera Ranking dethroning the recently launched HONOR Magic6 Pro by 5 points. This makes the Pura70 Ultra the best camera smartphone yet this year based on DXOMARK’s testing.

DXOMARK’s testing says that the Pura70 Ultra’s cameras come with balanced exposure and contrast in all lighting conditions, fast and accurate autofocus, and good texture/noise trade-off in most conditions. The main camera’s variable aperture allows for optimized depth of field and natural blur in bokeh mode.

Huawei claims that this performance comes from the smartphone’s ultra-lighting pop-out camera with a retractable camera structure, that allows it to sport a 1-inch sensor and a large aperture both at the same time in a compact body.

The Pura70 Ultra comes with three rear cameras: its 50MP f/1.4 – f/2.0 main camera, 40MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera, nad a 50MP f/2.1 90mm telephoto lens. Huawei’s new Ultra Lighting XMAGE Camera Imaging system and Huawei XD Motion Engine allows for Ultra Speed Snapshot – a dual exposure when shooting high-speed objects to capture movement and retain background information thanks to AI.

Huawei has also focused on the portrait mode on the Pura70 series. Their cameras can now intelligently perceive light, shadow, blur, and skin tones and recrate their realistic elements when taking a photo. Bokeh is created to separate the subject from the background while still retaining finer details like hair and facial details.

The Huawei Pura70 Ultra along with the Pura70 and Pura70 Pro recently arrived in the Philippines. They are priced at PhP 79,999, PhP 47,999, and PhP 59,999, respectively. Huawei is currently running a pre-order promo for the series for a limited time with additional perks.
