Huawei’s “Tech with Love” event transformed BGC’s 5th avenue into a vibrant hub of technology and creativity. More than 20,000 visitors gathered at the 2-day Pet Panda Wonderland pop-up event to experience the brand’s latest devices including the Huawei Watch GT 5 series, Watch D2, and MatePad Pro 12.2-inch.
At the forefront of the event is Huawei’s 3D Pet Panda installations and the Huawei Watch GT 5 series. Their latest smart watch comes with their TruSense System that provides fast and accurate health and fitness tracking, as well as vital sign monitoring including heart rate, blood oxygen, and respiratory rate.
Filipino celebrities Sofia Andres and Jericho Rosales shared their experiences with the brand’s latest smart wearable. “I absolutely love how the Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro keeps me connected. I can take calls or reply to messages, while also monitoring my health and tracking my workouts,” said Sofia Andres. Jericho Rosales added “I think striking the perfect balance between health and style is essential for a smartwatch, and the Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro offers the professional support I need for my sports activities.”
On top of its fitness functionalities, the Watch GT 5 series is made even more convenient with its Watch Pay integration as it enables it to be the one of the first GCash QR code payment smart watch in the Philippines.
Huawei’s first ABPM smartwatch, the Huawei Watch D2, also made an appearance at its pop-up event. It is their first smartwatch with ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. Thanks to its mechanical airbag, it is able to measure vitals and blood pressure precisely.
Aside from ABPM, the Watch D2 can monitor plenty of other health factors such as heart rate, blood oxygen, stress levels, skin temperature, ECG, and vascular elasticity.
The Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2-inch was also enjoyed by the attendees. Packing a dual OLED PaperMatte display and PC-level performance, it is being touted as their ultimate productivity tablet. It supports multi-screen collaboration to make integration with other Huawei devices seamless.
At its “Go Paint Your Imagination” station, attendees were able to unleash their creativity with the tablet using the GoPaint app.
Filipino creatives are invited to send in their “Creative by Nature” themed entries for the GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity 2024. Anyone interested can send in entries for different categories including Sci-Fi Art, Design and Fashion, Narrative Art, Cutting Edge Paintings, and Digital Watercolor and Ink. Submissions are open until December 31, 2024.
The Mandalorian and Avatar: Way of Water Concept Artist John Park, Renowned Illustrator and Forbers Under 30 (Art and Style) Honoree Victor Ngai, Avengers: Endgame Senior Concept Artist Pablo Dominguez, and Huawei Milan Aesthetic Research Center Digital Creative Director Marco La Mantia are part of this year’s jury panel who will select top 20 honorable mentions. Each of the winners will receive a USD 1,000 cash prize and honorary incentives including art exhibition opportunities and media coverage.
