The Huawei Watch 4 has officially arrived in the Philippines and it comes with a few interesting additions. Aside from comprehensive health monitoring tools, the Watch 4 will have eSIM support that can make you untethered from a smartphone.
The Huawei Watch 4 is one of the first smart watches to come with an ECG sensor that keeps track of cardiac rhythm, atrial fibrillation, and premature atrial contractions, which can alert users with major heart health-related risks. On the other hand, it can also arterial stiffness detection that may help with screening arteriosclerosis and offer tips to improve cardiovascular health.
It also introduces the first Respiratory Spectrum Analysis algorithm in a Huawei wearable. This will allow you to monitor respiratory health based on cough patterns, so you may be able to detect early signs of lung function impairment.
Long-standing features like Health and Sleep Monitoring gets improvements thanks to its 8-channel optical heart sensor and Huawei TruSleep 3.0. This can now detect your duration of sleep and present a comprehensive sleep structure of sleep and naps.
As mentioned, it will support eSIM so you can use your smartwatch as a smartphone. It has additional integrations from popular apps like Spotify, GCash, Strava, Wish FM, Adidas Running, and more and they work even if you don’t have a smartphone paired.
The UI now include with additional functions including built-in widgets, a quick bar to access frequently used apps, plus a floating task ball that can keep you up to date.
To withstand daily wear, the Huawei Watch 4 has a Black Stainless Case design and a 3D curved glass. Huawei claims that it can last up to 14 days of battery life in Ultra-Long Battery Life Mode thanks to its dual-core architecture 2.0.
The Huawei Watch 4 is priced at PhP 22,999 in the Philippines. it will become available in the country starting February 23, 2024 with early adopters getting a Huawei Sound Joy speaker worth PhP 6,999. You can get it via Huawei’s online store and Huawei retailers nationwide.
