Huawei has always focused on health on their wearables. Their latest step in health monitoring is the Huawei Watch D2, which can measure ambulatory blood pressure thanks to the implementation of new technologies.
The Huawei Watch D2 is able to measure your ambulatory blood pressure thanks to its TruSense System. Its strap contains an ultra-narrow mechanical airbag to precisely measure blood pressure. The airbag is able to non-invasively measure blood pressure by using oscillometric methods – the cuff is inflated and the pressure is transmitted through the arm’s soft tissue to the arterial wall. A sensor is then able to obtain subtle pressure fluctuations caused by blood flow and analyze blood pressure.
Huawei says that the Watch D2’s airbag has undergone more than 100 rounds of design improvements and rigorous testing to optimize its structure for precise blood pressure measurements.
The Watch D2 also comes with plenty of other health monitoring features such as heart rate, Sp02, stress levels, ECG, and even skin temperature. If you want to be on top of your health, it’s Health Glance is able to report potential health risks. It’s also able to report health data of the past 30 days so you may identify changes in your health.
Huawei equips the Watch D2 with a 1.82-inch screen with a 2.5D floating design and a colorful UI. You’ll be able to choose from a Gold and White or a Black variant depending on your style. Its software supports more than 80 exercise modes with automatic detection. Huawei claims that a single charge can last for up to 6 days.
The Huawei Watch D2 is priced at PhP 19,999 in the Philippines. It is up for pre-order from October 18 – 24, 2024. Getting it early will net you a free Huawei Scale, up to PhP 2,000 trade-in tokens, and 1-year extended warranty.
