inDrive’s Ka-gulong, Kita Tayo campaign lets drivers take home more commissions

-

Ride-hailing app inDrive has been rapidly growing since its local relaunch back in June 2024 with a 75% ride increase. Active users and drivers have also gone up by 86% and 96%, respectively. To boost its expansion in the Philippines and promote the welfare of its partner drivers and customers, they have launched the “Ka-gulong, Kita Tayo” campaign – a joint effort with transport group Laban TNVS.

The campaign aims to ensure that TNVS drivers earn a fair profit, increase their purchasing power, and a platform to air their concerns. Together with Laban TNVS, the app fulfills this though its 10% commission model, which creates competitive rates that benefit the drivers and the customers.

Currently, other ride-haling services takes 25% commission from its drivers. LTFRB has yet to adjust these rates to prefer drivers.

Marketing Director for APAC Natalia Makarenko said “By keeping our commission low, we can offer competitive rates that benefit everyone involved while continuously innovating to serve all parties. This is what we mean by equitable business – creating a system that works for all, not just a few

inDrive’s campaign also seeks to launch various community-based programs together with Laban TNVS to support drivers’ families and communities. Laban TNVS President Jun De Leon shared “We are glad to continue working closely with inDrive to create initiatives that reach out to drivers, and this campaign enables us to do just that…”

Both parties have worked together to organize a flood assistance program for its drivers and a feeding program for Sitio San Roque in Quezon City during the Super Typhoon Carina’s aftermath.

Marenko outlined their plans for further expansion in the Philippines. She says that they will expand to other key areas like Cebu, Davao, and Pampanga; improve services in Metro Manila, rolling out a 360-marketing campaign, more services in the app, and more benefits for drivers and its customers.

The company says that they currently have 8,000 drivers and expect a few thousand passengers by the end of the year.

The inDrive app is now available for download in the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
