Infinix has announced that the Note 40 series will receive two major Android version upgrades and 36 months of security upgrades globally. The company says that they recognize the importance of software longevity and is committed to providing users with a stable and smooth experience for an extended period of time.

They claim that their promise is a game-changer for the mid-range market, where budget-friendly smartphones “often lag in terms of software updates.” The brand aims to deliver regular and timely updates for the Note 40 Pro series though system upgrades may vary across devices and regions due to regulatory restraints.

The Infinix Note 40 Pro series currently has three models: the Note 40 Pro, Note 40 Pro 5G, and Note 40 Pro+ 5G. All come with Android 14 out-of-the-box, with plans to upgrade to Android 16 in the future. Other features include All-Round FastCharge 2.0 thanks to their Cheetah X1 chip, which could deliver up to 100W wired charging.
