Infinix is gearing up a new Note Series smartphone on March 20. They are teasing that the new member of the Note 50 lineup will come with a full-metal unibody and the One-Tap Infinix AI for all under USD 500 or around PhP 30,000 when directly converted.
The brand says that they were inspired by New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) such as Tesla to explore high-efficiency manufacturing techniques for smartphones for their latest launch.
It seems that the upcoming Note series will be using real metal “ArmorAlloy” to up Infinix’s game. They claim that the material is a fusion of Damascus steel and aluminum alloy to combine durability, light weight, and the wave patterns of Damascus. It is promised that the material is corrosion-resistant, scratch-resistant, deformation-proof, and eco-friendly.
This “ArmorAlloy” was made out of a new manufacturing process they have codenamed HyperCasting. Essentially, they melted down aluminum alloy at 700°C and injection molded it with 600 tons of clamping force. This allows phone components to be formed in a single shot and eliminates 22 welding points that makes the core structure 3g lighter and optimizes heat dissipation.
As for design, the octagonal camera module on the Note 50 series were inspired by high-end car intakes, diamond cutting, and Harry Winston Jewelry.
More details will be announced on the launch of the Infinix Note 50 series on March 20, 2025.
