In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 (KCD2), players have to make important decisions all throughout the game. To help in making the correct ones, players can “quick save” or save a lot. However, this comes at a cost. Get to know if there is a quick save function in KCD2, how to get it, and more using this guide.

Is There Quick Save In KCD2?

No Quick Save

Unfortunately, there is no quick save feature in KCD2. Players can save but it does come at a cost. Also, the game automatically saves after quests and whenever you exit. This is by design as the developers may have wanted the game to be a bit weighty when it comes to making choices and inventory/resource management.

Buy Saviour Schnapps, Lots Of Them

Weak Saviour Schnapps

To give you a glimpse of what it looks like to have a quick save, you need to have Saviour Schnapps to do so. These drinks allow you to save once you consume one. Do note that you do “consume” them so you do get a bit tipsy whenever you save.

Saviour Schnapps can be bought from inns and they do come in different varieties. The more potent ones are expensive but the cheap ones do their job of allowing you to save your game for each bottle you consume.

How To Quick Save In KCD2

Download A Mod

For those playing on the PC, players can download mods to add a quick save feature into the game. With a bit of tweaking, you can finally be free of the restrictive save mechanics and save wherever and whenever you want. Mods also eliminate the need for Saviour Schnapps, reducing the necessity to shop and manage your inventory a bit. Does it sound like cheating? Well, only you can get to answer that as the game is designed to provide limited opportunities to redo things.

Mods such as this one can be installed quickly into the game to introduce quick save. Note that you do have to install mods on your own. It may also break the achievements of the game so please read the installation guides first before you install.
