The budget-friendly Kingston NV3 is getting a smaller 2230 formfactor for those wanting to upgrade their notebooks and handheld gaming PCs. Though it is now smaller, its specifications suggest that it hasn’t lost any of its speed and endurance.
The 2230 version of the Kingston NV3 still uses the PCIe 4.0 x4 bus to deliver speeds of up to 6,000MB/s and 5,000MB/s read and write speeds, respectively. The smaller package, however, does limit its capacity to 2TB compared to the 2280’s maximum of 4TB.
Kingston is also offering the NV3 2230 in 500GB and 1TB capacities with speeds rated at 5,000MB/s and 3,000MB/s and 6,000MB/s and 4,000MB/s, respectively.
Kingston will be providing the NV3 with a 5-year warranty with free technical support, 1-year free Acronis True Image for Kingston software, and Kingston SSD Manager app enabling you to monitor your drive health and disk usage.
