Alongside the opening of the first Legion concept store in the Philippines was the launch of the Lenovo Legion Y740. Packing the latest Intel Coffee Lake processor and NVIDIA RTX GPUs, the Legion Y740 is one of the more powerful gaming notebook offerings yet from Lenovo.
The Lenovo Legion Y740 comes with a more subdued design unlike most gaming notebooks in the market. Despite this, the notebooks still comes with the latest components inside.
The Y740 is packing an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB and an Intel Core i7-8750H Coffee Lake-based processor. The notebook comes with 16GB of DDR4 RAM running at 2666MHz. If you are inclined, however, you can upgrade the notebook up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM clocked at 3200MHz.
Its display is a 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS screen that comes with NVIDIA G-SYNC to eliminate screen tearing. The notebook’s screen also boasts 72% Color Gamut and 500nits of brightness.
Files and games are stored in a 256GB NVMe SSD. Complementing the rather fast SSD is a standard 1TB HDD so you can store more movies and music as well as games.
Another party piece of the Lenovo Legion Y740 is its RGB system. Co-developed alongside Corsair, the Y740’s keyboard and lighting system can be controlled via iCUE.
