Lenovo has unleashed their 2024 lineup of gaming notebooks consisting of the Legion and LOQ series. First introduced earlier this year, they come with the new Lenovo LA AI Core chips that provide a user-customizable AI-assisted performance plus a new thermal design to boost framerates in games.
Legion Coldfront Hyper thermal solution has been developed in partnership with Intel. Exclusive to the Legion 7i and Legion 5i, the system manages airflow within these laptops and channeling the hot air from the chips through a central hyperbaric chamber. Cooler temperatures are experiences as the bottom D cover isolates the hot air from the cold air drawn in by its dual fans to lessen thermal throttling.
The Legion 9i, 7i Pro, 7i, Pro 5i, 5i come with Intel 14th Generation Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics. Each of them may also be equipped with a color-calibrated 16-inch PureSight display, up to 64GB of memory, and up to 2TB of PCIe 4.0 storage. Power ranges from 80Whr on the 5i and Pro 5i and 99.99Whr for the larger models.
The Legion 5i and the 5i Pro will come with a TrueStrike keyboard with 4-zone RGB backlighting while the 9i, 7i Pro, and 7i will have per-key RGB backlit keyboard. Pricing for the 2024 Legion gaming notebooks start at PhP 144,995.
Lenovo LOQ 15 2024
On more budget-oriented devices like the Lenovo LOQ, they are using their hyperchamber thermal technology that can draw out up to an additional 25W of power in Extreme Mode while maintaining up to 2°C cooler skin temperature and 2dB less noise compared to last generation.
Lenovo’s LA1 AI chip powered by the Lenovo AI Engine+ via Lenovo Vantage can also be found on the LOQ series that dynamically tune the notebook’s power, fan covers, and other settings to maximize performance. They are also equipping it with a 15.6-inch display, up to 32GB of RAM, and up to 2TB PCIe 4.0 storage starting at PhP 51,995.
