Lenovo is joining the foldable market but instead of an Android device, the ThinkPad X1 Fold is a Windows-based machine with a folding screen that to suit the use case of the user.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold comes with a 13.3-inch 2K OLED screen with a built-in on-screen keyboard thanks to Windows 10. It folds directly in half so you can independently use the two screens side-by-side. The screen is also compatible with the Lenovo Mod Pen, which comes with the device, to allow for seamless note taking or filling out digital paper work.
To prevent the screen from getting creases or bubbles when folded for extended periods of time, multiple layers of mechanical support has been built underneath to provide extra support and durability. The X1 Fold also uses carbon fiber to provide better tension while folding and unfolding. Meanwhile, a foldable graphite layer helps dissipate heat.
The ThinkPad X1 Fold comes with WiFi 6 capabilities, 5G connection and it is powered by Intel 11th Generation processors that comes with Intel Hybrid Technology, Irix Xe graphics. Lenovo promises its battery life to reach up to 11 hours depending on the usage.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold will be available in the Philippines for PhP 208,500 for its Intel Core i5, 256GB SSD, and Windows 10 Pro variant via a by-order basis through Lenovo’s authorized retail partners nationwide.
