LG is showing off the updated concept of green living at CES 2022 with its LG tiiun modern indoor gardening appliance. This enables even novice gardeners to cultivate their own greens, herbs, and even flowers in the comfort of their own homes.
Tiiun means “to sprout” in Korean and the device itself has been designed to be a self-contained unit. It features two shelves that can hold up to six all-in-one seed packages along with three different kinds of seed kits. Each seed kit packaging holds 10 holes for seed germination to allow users to grow a variety of greens simultaneously in only four to eight weeks.
The LG tiiun uses the brand’s Inverter Compressor and Flexible Weather Control System to precisely regulate its internal temperature to create optimal conditions for growth. LG’s smart garderning system delivers water eight times every 24 hours while its Auto Ebb & Watering Systems circulates the ideal amount of moisture to keep the greens or flowers healthy.
The internal structure of the tiium has been designed to increase photosynthesis efficiency by amplifying the effect of internal LED light sources to speed up the growing sources. Its transparent door lets users watch their seeds grown while still providing an airtight seal from outside factors. Users can even use the LG mobile ThinQ app to monitor the entire germination process remotely.
