If you think GPUs can’t be more ridiculous, meet the liquid-cooled ASUS ROG Matrix RTX 4090. First showcased in Computex this year, it adopts a liquid metal compound on its GPU die for better thermal performance and thus faster clock speeds.
The ROG Matrix RTX 4090 is the first production GPU to come with liquid metal. Its 360mm AIO loop has a custom-engineered cold plate, embedded pump, and optimized coolant flowrate. There are three magnetic fans on a daisy-chain to dissipate heat and to minimize clutter.
This is ASUS’ current flagship card and will feature a Dual BIOS switch to change from Quiet and Performance mode. Its default clock speeds on OC mode is set at 2700MHz, which is nearly 200MHz more than the reference RTX 4090. At Computex 2023, it was able to claim three world records and five global first places in multiple benchmarks tools.
