LTO, SEC, and other government agencies partner with PayMaya for contactless payments

With the COVID-19 pandemic requiring us to stay at home to limit its spread, more than 50 government agencies and local government units have turned to PayMaya in order to promote easy and hassle-free contactless payments.

Easy and Convenient Payment Methods for Government Agencies

Government agencies such as the Land Transportation Office (LTO), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the City of Taguig, Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) and the Optical Media Board have partnered with PayMaya to enable the acceptance of cashless payments.

These are just the latest additions to the roster of agencies that are now allowing cashless payments. Currently, more than 50 government agencies and LGUs are working with PayMaya for e-wallet payments. These include the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Bureau of Customs, Social Security System, PAGIBIG, Department of Trade and Industry, among others.

Thanks to the partnership of PayMaya to these government agencies, Filipinos can now pay their taxes and other government-required transactions digitally.

• Tax payments are now available in the PayMaya app. The BIR is able to continue to collect taxes from consumers and businesses despite quarantine restrictions.
• Members can now pay SSS monthly contributions through the SSS mobile app by using either credit or debit cards as well as PayMaya accounts. They can now also receive remunerations via their PayMaya account.
• PAGIBIG members can continue remitting their contribution payments or top up their saving accounts using card or e-wallet payments even while abroad.
• Car dealers and motorists can now easily pay for motor vehicle registration and renewal fees using digital payments via the Land Transportation website.

Additional Perks for Using Cashless Payments

To promote cashless payments for Filipinos, PayMaya is offering cashbacks for transaction fees when paying with their PayMaya mobile number on select online and mobile government channels until September 30, 2020.

Cashback vouchers will be offered when paying with PayMaya-registered mobile numbers at the websites of the DFA, PRC, NHMFC, the Construction Industry Association of the Philippines, Taxumo, JUANTAX, and the mobile app of SSS.

Just choose “PayMaya” as the payment option and enter your registered mobile number to pay your fees. After the transaction has gone through, you should receive a cashback voucher equal to the amount of the transaction fee collected by the agency.
