Due to tropical storm Carina affecting homes and businesses in the Philippines with floods and heavy downpour, Maya will be waiving penalties for Maya Easy Credit and Maya Personal Loan until August 15, 2024 in order for you to focus on recovering.
The waiver will only be available if you are in good credit standing. Penalties for eligible accounts with outstanding balances on Maya Easy Credit, Maya Personal Loan, and Maya Negosyo Loan will be waived until August 15.
Select customers with good credit standing residing in areas severely affected by typhoon Carina are eligible. Areas include NCR, Rizal, Bulacan, Tarlac, Zambales, Pampanga, Cavite, Bataan, and Batangas. Maya will be sending a notification to all qualified accounts via SMS or through the Maya app.
If you are eligible, you are not required to pay until August 15, 2024 and will not receive a penalty nor impact your credit standing. Starting August 15, 2024, regular charging of fees will resume for all customers.
