MediaTek has confirmed that their next-generation flagship chip, the Dimensity 9400, will be launching on October 9, 2024 over in China.
According to reports, MediaTek’s new flagship chipset will come with four Cortex-A725 CPU cores at 2.10GHz, three Cortex-X4 CPU clocking at 2.80GHz, and a single Cortex-X925 CPU running at 3.63GHz. Its CPU cluster is a Mali-G925 Immortalis MC12 GPU.
Recent benchmarks put the Dimensity 9400 against the Apple A18 Pro, which the former scoring 134fps in the GFX Aztek 1440p off-screen Vulkan benchmarks while the latter only reached 72fps.
Rumors say that BBK brands vivo and OPPO as well as Xiaomi will be the first to launch smartphones based on the Dimensity 9400. Their announcements are expected to follow suit after the official launch of the chipset on October 9.
