Meizu is officially returning to the Philippines after an extended leave of absence. Last news about the device is that they were acquired by Geely back in 2022 and their plans of going all in on AI. Their return to the country is marked with two new smartphones, the Meizu Mblu 21 and Meizu Note 21.
The Meizu Note 21 packs a 6.74-inch FullHD+ 90Hz display paired with a Unisoc T606 chipset with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB eMMC 5.1 storage. Meizu also equips the device with a 4,900mAh battery with 18W USB-C charging, a 50MP main shooter, and an 8MP front-facing camera.
The smartphone is available in Diamond Black, Gulf Blue, and Ivory colorways. Its chassis contains a 6,000mAh battery with 18W USB-C charging and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It will run Android 14 out-of-the-box.
On the other hand, the Meizu Mblu 21 comes with the same Unisoc T606 chip, which is now paired with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The display is slightly bigger measuring in at 6.79 inches, but still runs at 90Hz.
Its cameras include a 13MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP front-facing camera. The whole system is powered by a 4,900mAh battery and will run on Android 14.
The Meizu Mblu 21 and Note 21 are slated to debut in the Philippines today, February 12, 2025. Official pricing and availability are yet to be announced. More details soon. Stay tuned.
