After two months of competitions, 20 of the best teams in the Philippines are left in the upcoming Mineski Masters Playoffs. The tourney will pit the teams with each other in PUBG Mobile and DotA 2 to get the chance to win the PhP 1.5 million prize pool.
Playoffs for PUBG Mobile will be on November 13 – 14. From 128 aspirant teams, only 16 will battle it out in the playoffs for the title of “True Master” that comes with a prize pool of PhP 500,000. The event will be live broadcasted is co-presented by Converge ICT and sponsored by OPPO.
The opening of the PUBG Mobile playoffs will be headlined by singer and rapper Awi Columna with a debut performance of an original song titled Lakad Matatag as well as a halftime variety show with exclusive giveaways awaiting viewers.
Meanwhile, the DotA 2 regional invitation tournament will feature four Filipino wild card teams who will face off with four invited pro-teams from the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia for the prize pool of PhP 1 million. The event is sponsored by Lucky Me! Pancit Canton.
Four of the international teams have already committed to take part in the tourney and their identities will be revealed in the coming days.

While we look forward to physical events making a comeback, we wanted to display the agility of esports in catering to a rapidly growing digital viewer base. Creating the Mineski Masters was a unique opportunity for us to continue engaging with the gaming community in the comfort of their own homes, as well as exhibit the innovations we have made in the past two years in esports broadcast and event organizing,” said Mark Navarro, country manager of Mineski Philippines.
