In the missions “El Sin Nombre” and “Alone”, players get to encounter a couple of safes in the map. Opening these safes rewards you with powerful items that can help you in your completing the missions. Get to know the safe codes and rewards inside them using this Modern Warfare 2 guide.
Modern Warfare 2 Safe Codes (El Sin Nombre)
2nd Floor Room Safe Code
Code: 02 – 02 – 19
Upon being granted freedom by the cartel, you can roam around the house to explore and reach the second floor. On the second floor is a room with a safe. Opening the safe rewards you with a Lockwood 300 and a set of Armored plates.
2nd Floor Room Safe Clue
The clue is found on a painting in the room. The dates spell out 02/02/19 which can then be converted to the safe’s 02 – 02 – 19 code.
Modern Warfare 2 Safe Codes (Alone Mission)
2nd Floor Safe Code
Code: 10 – 10 – 80
This safe can be found on the second floor of the house beside the one where you get the shotgun. Locked behind a door, you also need to have a Pry Tool to access this one. As a reward for opening it, you get a silenced .50 GS and a Throwing Knife.
2nd Floor Safe Clue
The clue can be found on a calendar hanging just beside the safe. The date is 10/10/2020 but the 10th is marked with “40th” pertaining to an anniversary. Reduce 2020 by 40 and you get 80 which is 10/10/80, giving you the code to the safe.
Garage Safe Code
Code: 37 – 60 – 80
Just beside the building containing the 2nd floor safe is a garage. Inside it is another safe that you can crack open for a Crossbow and another Throwing Knife.
Garage Safe Clue
The clue to the code for this safe can be found inside the garage itself. From the safe, turn around and head into the garage. Just beside the raised car is an open laptop that displays the code for the safe. Go to it and use the displayed code and you’ll open the safe with no problem.

Beware Of Enemies While Opening Safes
You can still get attacked by opening safes. With that said, be wary of enemy patrols when you try on cracking these safes for their rewards. Also, you should be on the lookout for wary foes as they can track you down if you leave a dead body lying around.
Unlock All 3 Safes To Get An Achievement
For unlocking the three safes above, you get the Gentleman Thief achievement. This achievement has no gameplay effects.
