MSI Claw 8 AI+ arrives in PH, priced at PhP 59,995

MSI is back with a new handheld, the MSI Claw 8 AI+. It will be powered by an Intel processor much like their previous handheld. Aside from an updated processor, they have redesigned its chassis and controls to deliver well-balanced weighting and smoother operation.

The Claw 8 AI+ is now powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor with Intel Arc 140V graphics and 32GB of LPDDR5X-8533 RAM. It is cooled by what they call Cooler Boost HyperFlow, which uses a dual-fan, dual-heatpipe system to ensure peak performance while under load. Its new chip is enhanced by Intel XeSS upscaling that currently supports 150 AAA titles.

Its processor runs at 17W and promises 113% higher peak FPS and an average 20% higher FPS under identical power conditions. The whole device is powered by an 80Whr battery that supports 65W USB-C charging.

MSI has redesigned its sticks, bumpers, D-pad, and hall-effect triggers to ensure a more comfortable and accurate gaming experience. You also get two Thunderbolt 4 ports for charging, general I/O, and external GPU and display support.

As for software, the MSI Claw 8 AI+ has the brand’s MSI Center M software that promises easier navigation, App Player that enables Android titles to be played, and Copilot+ capabilities baked onto its Windows 11 Home OS.

The MSI Claw 8 AI+ is priced at PhP 59,995 in the Philippines. It is now up for pre-order until February 28, 2025 where you can get a PhP 2,500 voucher and a free Diablo IV game bundle with the Vessel of Hated DLC.

The first 10 customers to pre-order the device will also get additional freebies including a Gaming Jacket or a 15-inch Big Lucky Dragon Doll.
