MSI GT75 9SG Titan with 9th gen 8-core Intel CPU to launch on April 23

A retailer from Amazon has just posted the MSI GT75 9SG Titan rocking an 8-core, 8-thread Intel Core i9-9980HK. The posting has also indicated that the notebook will be released tomorrow, April 23, 2019.

MSI GT75 9SG Titan

Priced at USD 4,399 (around PhP 250,000), the MSI GT75 9SG Titan comes with a 17.3-inch 4K 60Hz IPS-level display, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080, and up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM clocked at 2666MHz (2x32GB).

As far as storage goes, the notebook will come with a 512GB M.2 PCIe x4 SSD together with a 1TB 7200RPM drive. To deal with thermals of the 8-core processor and top-end RTX GPU, MSI has used Gelid GC Extreme thermal compound.

Although promotional materials on the product page suggest that the Intel Core i9-9980HK has 16-threads, it only comes with 8-threads. Despite the gimped thread-count, the processor is advertised to Turbo up to 5.0GHz which is pretty fast for an 8-core processor in a notebook.

MSI GT75 9SF Titan

The MSI GT75 9SF Titan has also been posted by the retailer. While not as insane as the 9SG Titan, the 9SF Titan still comes with beefy specifications for USD 2,899 (PhP 150,000).

Inside its rather massive chassis is a 6-core, 12-thread Intel Core i7-9750H, which can turbo up to 4.5GHz. Graphics are handled by an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 and a 17.3-inch 1920 x 1080 144HZ IPS-level G-SYNC display.

Like its bigger brother, the MSI GT75 9SF Titan will come with a 512GB M.2 PCIe x4 SSD and a 1TB HDD for storage. RAM capacity has also been lessened to 32GB DDR4 2666MHz (2x16GB).
