Apple is officially porting over the iMac to their 8-core M1 chip. This allows their all-in-one device to have a thinner profile and better performance. It will also come in a total of 7 color variants.

The iMac 2021 has a 23.5-inch 4.5K Retina display with True Tone technology. Its screen has a P3 wide color gamut and can produce up to 500nits of brightness, which allows for more vivid images to be produced.

It comes with a total of 4 USB Type-C ports, two of which are Thunderbolt compatible. It also includes a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, studio-quality microphones, and a six-speaker sound system. TouchID will also be coming to the iMac for the first time via the redesigned keyboard.

Powering the new iMac is macOS Big Sur. This allows the device to seamlessly interact with Apple devices like smartphones and tablets for a more seamless computing experience in-between devices.

The iMac 2021 will come in 7 colors: green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver. It will come in several differing variants:

The device will be available in Apple stores starting April 30, 2021.
