Finally, after years of asking, waiting, and meme posting, we finally have a new model for Cato Sicarius. A popular character in the Ultramarines Chapter of Space Marines, Cato Sicarius is one decorated super soldier and fans like me have wondered for a long time why we don’t have a Primaris model of him. Until now. Just recently announced, this new model features all the bells, whistles, and his signature back banner. When is this model going to be released and how much would it cost? Read on!
This is part of an official announcement that includes the unveiling of a new Marneus Calgar model and a Victrix Honour Guard kit.
Cato Sicarius’ new Primaris Space Marine kit has him brandishing his sword and being dressed for the occasion as usual. The back banner is also back, making it a great project for painters and a pain for table top players. As with the current norm, Cato Sicarius is now standing on a tactical rock (tactical marble?) too.
Unfortunately for us, therre seems to be a zero chance of having Cato Sicarius wear his cool helmet. The recent teased also came with: “He’s got two choices of heads, one surveying the battlefield in typically stoic manner, the other mid-battle cry.” So, there’s that. If you would like to have the guy wear a helmet for practicality’s sake (he’s charging into a battlefield after all), then you’d have to kitbash that.
The new Cato Sicarius model will very likely have a price tag of US$45 or £28. This is based on the pricing of recently released hero models such as Aethon Shaan of the Raven Guard, Vulkan He’stan of the Salamanders, and Darnath Lysander of the Imperial Fists.
While it was not announced officially, we can deduce from previous releases that the arrival of the new Cato Sicarius model would be around November to December. Based on recent releases of Space Marine hero models, pre-orders for them started two months after their announcements. We can expect the same for Cato Sicarius.
