Smart COO Anastacio “Boy” Martirez is leading the launch of a KIQ, new telco that will focus on a growing Gen Z user base. The new telco is allowing its users to choose their own numbers, customize data usage, and validity.
KIQ is a telco powered by Smart aimed for younger people that want fully customizable data plans. Their app is now available through the Play Store and the App store and lets you sign on the network using an eSIM.
The telco has various plans under their offerings, which ranges from 2GB with 3 minutes of calls and 30 text messages up to KIQ All U Can 28-day plan which comes with unlimited data, calls, and texts all for PhP 940 for 28 days.
Though there are preset prepaid plans, you can also customize your own plan and choose from the amount of data, opt for unlimited call and texts, and validity. Data ranges from 1GB to unlimited while validity is available from 1 day to 28 days.
KiQ is also fully digital and relies on the app for SIM registration. This means that the service is limited to eSIM-compatible smartphones leaving older devices unsupported. A KiQ SIM card costs PhP 99 and you’ll be able to choose your preferred mobile number with the 0925 prefix. New users can enjoy 25GB from KiQ for free.
