Nissan brings Connected Car Services to more Filipinos with the New Almera

Nissan Almera (3)

One fancy thing you see on Tiktok might be vehicles that can be enabled remotely with your car. Yes, it is impressive that your smartphone can now finally manage an essential part of your car for convenience, the concern is that it’s only available for vehicles averaging at 2 million pesos and above.

Nissan Philippines recently launched the All-New Almera, supporting the new cloud connected service through a dedicated eSim module in the vehicles. Meaning this service is embedded in the vehicles and independent, giving you more than just access to your vehicle but also precious data that can help you with your vehicle woes.

Our point here is that Nissan Philippines in our knowledge is now the most affordable car brand with this kind of technology. Yes it’s a Nissan Almera worth Php1,149,000 but the important here is that it sets the Almera apart from the usual sedans that offers more “Performance” rather than safety and reliability.

Nissan Connected Services is an app that you can download on the Google or Apple store that can give you the following services.

  • Vehicle Health Services – Fuel, Tire Pressure, Temperature, Travel
  • Geo Location Services – Speed Area Limit notification
  • Curfew Notification – Alarm if the vehicle passed an area allowed (Great for parents)
  • Remote Access – Lights, Horns, Start Up
  • Emergency notification services – 3rd Party Ambulance SOS calling

We think the Nissan Almera now offers a different kind of vehicle experience in its price range, it’s the complete opposite of what others are doing with excessive features that aren’t that maximized on their price point or to say it short…half cooked features.

Now more than ever, we need more stability and control of things that are important. So on our analysis we think the purchaser of this vehicle are consumers that needs a sense of control for their vehicles in difference scenarios

  1. Executive’s First Car – Emerging from the class of life, the Almera is a non-sporty vehicle that can be an exciting companion with better management and stability to your needs.
  2. The family’s shared vehicle – The breadwinner or father of the house can consider this vehicle for their family as it has all the safety features like sensors, adaptive cruise control, complete airbags and now Nissan Connected Service.

Nissan offers the Connected Service free for three years with the vehicle, but we think this technology is here to stay for innovations. Still there are more features Nissan can bring with this service with more cars in their fleet. But we are glad that it starts with the New Almera cause it just proves that innovation doesn’t need to be just in the top of the line vehicles.
