Nothing is just one of the brands riding the open-ear trend with the new Nothing Ear (open). It sports an open-ear design with transparent a transparent housing with hooks that wrap around your ear.
The Nothing Ear (open) sports a Sound Seal System to minimize sound leakage, which is a challenge for open-ear designs. Each bud weighs in at 8.1g and they are powered by 14.2mm titanium-coated drivers and dual mics with Clear Voice 3.0. They can be controlled with pinch controls and their chassis is rated at IP54 for dust and water resistance.
It does have some integration with the Nothing X app for customizing controls and EQ levels. Its integration is further expanded to ChatGPT if you pair them with a Nothing smartphone.
Nothing claims that the earbuds can last up to 8 hours of playback with their 64mAh battery. Its charging case and its 635mAh battery extends use by up to 30 hours and can be charged via USB-C.
The Nothing Ear (open) is priced at PhP 8,990 in the Philippines. They come in a White colorway and official availability are yet to be announced. Stay tuned for more details.
