The OnePlus 12R has officially landed in the Philippines. It is being positioned just under the OnePlus 12, the 12R is placed as a “flagship killer” or “budget flagship” with relatively high-end specifications although without the Hasselblad branding.
The 12R is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform. Even though it was released back in late 2022, the chipset is still plenty powerful for most applications especially if you pair it with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
OnePlus isn’t using the Hasselblad branding for the 12R, but that doesn’t mean that its cameras pale in comparison to the competition. The smartphone packs a 50MP f/1.9 main camera with OIS and powered by a Sony IMX890 sensor, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide, and a 16MP f/2.4 front-facing camera.
The OnePlus 12R is also equipped with a 6.78-inch 2780 x 1264 LTPO AMOLED screen that can switch refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz. Inside is a 5,500mAh battery that supports 100W SuperVOOC charging. The alert slider also returns from the OnePlus 11 to physically switch the mode of the device.
