OnePlus has debuted their first Snapdragon 8 Elite smartphone, the OnePlus 13. The new chipset is accompanied by a larger battery, better water resistance, and their iconic Hasselblad cameras.
The OnePlus 13 comes with a 6.82-inch 3168 x 1440 120Hz LTPO AMOLED 2.5 quad-curved display with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. It’s less curved as its predecessor, which may be divisive for some. Peeking out of the top of the screen is a 32MP f/2.4 selfie shooter.
At the back of the smartphone are three Hasselblad-cameras: a 50MP f/1.6 main camera, a 50MP f/2.6 periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide lens.
OnePlus ups the battery capacity from the 12’s 5,400mAh to 6,000mAh, which is plenty for any smartphone. It will support 100W SuperVOOC and 50W AirVOOC for charging.
Its Snapdragon 8 Elite chip is complemented by up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It will run Android 15 with Chinese units getting ColorOS 15 while international models presumably equipped with OxygenOS 15.
The OnePlus 13 starts at CNY 4,499 or around PhP 37,000 when directly converted. It is currently exclusive to China as of its release. No exact date about its global launch yet, so stay tuned.
