Ever since the inception of OnePlus, the company has been hard at work at breaking the definition of a flagship. Today, the brand has unveiled their most powerful smartphone yet, the OnePlus 6. Priced at a relatively modest USD 529, the OnePlus 6 comes with all the amenities you expect from a much more expensive smartphone.
The OnePlus 6 comes with a 6.28-inch OpticAMOLED display with a notched 19:9 aspect ratio with a resolution of 2280 x 1080, which is expected for a flagship smartphone nowadays. The display also supports sRGB as well as DCI-P3 color profiles for better color rendition.
Inside the smartphone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 paired with up to 8GB of RAM as well as up to 256GB of internal storage depending on the model. Unfortunately, OnePlus still hasn’t implemented a microSD slot with the OnePlus 6. The whole package runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.
As far as imaging goes, the OnePlus 6 comes with a dual rear camera with a 16MP f/17 primary that can record 4K videos at 60fps as well as 480fps slow-motion videos at 720p. The secondary rear camera, meanwhile, is a 20MP f/1.7 shooter. At the front is a 16MP camera that’s backed by OnePlus’ AI that enables the smartphone to create better bokeh with its Portrait Mode.
OnePlus 6’s other features include a fingerprint scanner at the rear, a 3,300mAh battery with Dash Charge, gigabit LTE support, and 4×4 MIMO antennas. The OnePlus 6 will be available in select regions starting May 22, 2018 different configurations:
