The OPPO A3s has been consistently at the top of the charts when it comes to budget smartphone recommendations. In MemoXpress’ recent weekly hit list, OPPO’s budget king has been finally removed from its seat by a relatively new contender: the Huawei Y6 Pro 2019.
It’s an inevitable downfall
The OPPO A3s’ displacement from the top spot can be attributed to its age. Pushing nearly a year-old, the smartphone was inevitably going to be replaced by a smartphone that has better specifications at the same price bracket.
The Huawei Y6 Pro 2019 seems like a better deal this early 2019
The newly released Huawei Y6 Pro 2019 has better overall specifications than most of its competitors. While the performance of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 of the OPPO A3s over the Y6 Pro 2019’s MediaTek MT6761 can be argued until the end of time, the performance advantage will be given to the latter for its 3GB of RAM compared to the former’s 2GB RAM.
The Huawei Y6 Pro 2019 also has a larger 32GB of internal storage over the OPPO A3s’ 16GB. And if you’re on a tight budget, the former’s larger storage can save you a bit of cash from purchasing a dedicated MicroSD card.
The OPPO A3s, however, still has its advantages with its larger battery capacity. OPPO’s budget smartphone comes with a 4,230mAh battery while Huawei’s recently crowned smartphone only has 3,200mAh.
The A3s comes with relatively larger screen. Measuring at 6.2-inches, the OPPO A3s is just a smidge larger than the Huawei Y6 Pro 2019’s 6.09-inch display.
The biggest advantage by the OPPO A3s over the Y6 Pro 2019 is its dual rear cameras. While Huawei smartphone only comes with a single 13MP f/1.8 rear camera, the OPPO A3s has a 13MP f/2.2 primary rear camera and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor.
